Reuben Rogers Junr To Noah Rogers
Deed of Gift for 250 acres
This Indenture made this sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight
hundred and thirty six Between Reuben Rogers of the state of North Carolina and County of
Duplin of the one part and Noah Rogers of the same place of the other part witnesseth that
for the Natural love and afection and divers other causes thereuto mooving that I Reuben
Rogers sign have for my sun Noah Rogers do hereby give grant set over and convey unto Noah
Rogers my lands and tenements which I now possess with the use of said lands and tenements
to me & my wife Christian Rogers During the term of our Natural lives Excepted then to Noah
Rogers his Heirs and assigns Executors & administrators a certain tract of land lying in
Duplin County on Goffs Beaver dam and Black Branch opposite the mouth of a ditch and runs
thence North 68 wt 103 poles to a stake thence No 12 Et 75 poles to a Maple on the Run of
Goffs Beaverdam Branch thence up said 75 poles to a stake on the Run of said Branch thence
south 12 wt 179 poles to a stake thence south 25 1/1 wt 294 poles to a pine thence No 85 Et
68 poles to a stake thence No 37 poles to a stake thence Et 108 poles to a pine thence No 126
poles to a popular on Black Branch thence down said the Run of said Branch to the Begining
containing by estimation Four Hundred and fifty eight acres be the same more or Less To Have
and to hold the said land and premises with all that in any wise appurtains thereunto and I
the said Reuben Rogers for my self my Heirs and assigns do hereby warrant the Right and title
of said lands Free from the lawfull claims of any persons whatever Except the lifetime use of
said Lands and premises to my self & wife Christain in testimony whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal the day and date above written
