Reuben Green To Frederick Williams
Deed for 90 acres lands
This indenture made the fourteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and eighty
five, between Reuben Green of the County of Duplin and State of No. Carolina of the one part,and
Frederick Williams of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that the
said Reuben Green for and in consideration of the sum of thirty two pounds ten shillings specie
to him in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt and
payment whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed & by
these presents doth grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Frederick Williams
his heirs and assigns forever, a tract or parcel of land containing ninety acres situate & lying
in the County and State aforesaid on the south side of Rockfish Creek including his the said
Green's improvements. Begining at a white oak supposes to be Nathaniel Merradith's corner,
thence as the same No. 35 Et. 46 poles to a stake in the swamp side, thence No. 23 Wt. 128 poles
to a white oak, thence So. 45 Et. 200 poles to a pine, thence So. 45 Et. 90 poles to a pine
thence on or near Merradith's line to the begining, the said premises containing ninety acres
being patend by the said Reuben Green in the year of our Lord 1784, and conveyed by this deed
to the said Frederick Williams and also the reversion and reversions remainder & remainders and
also the right title interest, claim & demand whatsoever of him the said Reuben Green of in and
to the said premises of in & to every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold the above
bargained premises unto the said Frederick William his heirs and assigns forever and the said
Reuben Green for himself his heirs and assigns doth covenant and grant to & with the said
Frederick Williams his heirs and assigns, that he the said Reuben Green now is lawfully &
rightfully seized & possessed with the same, also that the said Reuben Green now hath good right
& full power & lawfull authority in his own right, to grant bargain sell and convey all and
singular the said premises and alsto that the said Frederick William his heirs & assigns shall
and may at any time hereafter, peacelby & quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the
above suted premises without any kind of reserve or hinderance of the said Reubin Green his
heirs and assigns, or of any other person or persons whatsoever & the said Reubin Green doth
for himself his heirs & forever warrent and defend the above mentioned ninety acres of land
with all the previledges to Frederick Williams his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claim
or demand whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year
first above written.
