Redin Best To Absolum Best
Deed 150 acres
This Indenture made this 1st day of August and in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and thirty nine between Alsolum Best of the one part of the State of North Carolina and
County of Duplin and Redden Best of the above mentioned County and State aforesaid of
the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and
seventy five Dollars To me in hand paid The Receipt whereof I the said Reddin Best by
these presents do Acknowledge have bargain sold and conveyed unto the said Absolom Best
and do be these presents put the said Absolom in full possession of the said Hereunder
assigned piece or parcel of land (to Wit) Begining at a popular Tree on the run of Little
Beaver dam Branch thence No 40 Wt 140 poles to a bend of said Branch then No 80 Wt 80
poles to an other bend thence thence so 85 Wt 68 poles to a post oake thence No 54 WT 40
poles to a small pine thence No 35 Et 30 poles to a lightwood stake thence No 73 Et 296
poles to a stake thence So 35 Et 30 poles to a stake thence along an old marke line To
the Begining it Being a corse So 50 Wt 180 poles to the said Begining containing one
hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less to the said Absolom Best To have and To
hold free from all other Wright titles and claims to him the said Absolom Best his ares
and assigns forever and ever and I the said Reddin Best do bind myself are heirs that this
is warrented and defended to the said Absolom Best in presents of the subscribing & day &
date above written
