Daniel Jones & others to Whitman Price P. of Atty.
State of North Carolina, Duplin County.
Know all men by these present that we Daniel Jones and Wife Elizabeth Jones,
Bryan(t) Parker and wife Rebecca Parker, Joseph Duncan by his agent & atty
Daniel Jones, Caleb Price, Absalom Price, William F. Price and Edmond
Walker and wife Edney Walker, Robert Southerland & wife Abigail Sutherland
and Hannah Price for divers good causes and considerations have made
ordained authorized nominated & appointed by these present do make ordain
nominate and appoint Whitman Price our true and lawful attorney for us & in
our names for our own proper use & benefit to ask demand sue for and recover
all that land of heirs of Hanaty* Price & to have use & take all lawful ways &
means or otherwise for the securing them of & to make all transfer for us & in
our names to make all rights & titles to the same in a full and ample a manner
as if we were personally present ourselves, satisfying & confirming all such
lawful acts which our true & lawful Attorney shall or may do touching or
concerning their cause. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands
and seals. August 14th day 1834.
