Peter Gilstrap three hundred and eighty acres of land in Duplin County in the fork between
Stewarts Creek and Millers Swamp on both sides of Oakey and Hollingsworths Branches
which survey includes his old paten of one hundre acres where he lives patened by John
Adkison. Begining at a white oak stump his own corner of 50 acres patened by Archabald
Carr. Thence as his own line across Hollingsworths Branch and up a small branch No. 35
Wt. 140 poles to a red oak his corner. Thence No. 70 Wt. 54 poles to a Maple in a Branch.
Thence up the branch with Charles Merrits line by various courses 100 poles to a water oak
sapling. Thence the course continued No. 25 Et. 80 poles to a pine. Thence So. 80 Et. 240
poles to a Swee Bay and Maple in a pond edge. Thence So. 140 poles to a lightwood stump.
Thence Et. 60 poles to a stake at or near Carltons Line crossing Oakey Branch at the uper
fork. Thence So. 114 poles to Knoxes line. Thence as his line to his corner and thence to
the begining.
