Morris & Kenan To Clark
Bill of Sale
Know all men by these presents that wee James Morris and James Kenan bothe of the County and State
aforesaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and Eighty five pounds specie to us in paid by
Daniel Clark of the County and State aforesaid The Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted
Bargained and Sold unto the Daniel Clark his heirs and assigns forever two negroes girls Slave named Leah
and Marian aged to wit Leah about thirteen and Marian about Eleven years of age which said negroes girls
Leah and Marian whereby warrant and forever Defend to the said Daniel Clark his heirs and assigns forever
against the Right Title Claim and Demand of and all manner of persons. In witness whereof we have hereunto
set our hands and Seals this 30th day of Agust one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
