Granted to Michael Sullivan One hundred sixty acres of land in Duplin County on the 
North side of Goshen Swamp on both sides of Rooty Branch beginning at a Pine on 
the west edge of the Branch at Hodom’s corner thence his line S 88 W 52 poles to 
a stake thence said Sullivan’s line S 40 E 84 poles to a stake Thence south 75 E 
70 poles thence W George Jernigan Hodam's line to the beginning Dated the 17th 
day of December in the 19th year of our independence and in the year of our Lord 1794.
