Michael Sullivan Grant -- 1791

Granted to Michael Sullivan a tract of land containing Ten Acres lying and being in our County 
of Duplin on the North side of Goshen Swamp on both sides of Halls Marsh beginning at an 
Ash West edge the run at John Winders Corner then S 30 E 34 poles to a water oak by 
George Jernigan Hodom’s corner thence said Sullivan’s line of his John New Survey 53 E 
36 poles to a large Dead Pine at corner of an old survey called the Maples then N 5 E 12 
poles to an Ash in the swamp in Hodam' line thence across the swamp N 30 W 36 poles 
to a large Sweet Gum on the edge of the high ground thence straight to the first station.  
Entered the 10th day of May 1791.

Dated the 14th day of April in the 24th year of our Independence in the year of our Lord 
Eighteen Hundred.
