Mary Harris To Jane Ann Brinson
Bill of sale for two Negros State of North Carolina Duplin County
Know All men by these presents that I Mary Harris of the above mentioned place for and
inconsiderations of the sum of four hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt of
which is here by acknowledged hath granted Bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto ginney Ann Brinson two certain negroes
Ginney and babe Ginney of the age of fifty years or there about bab of the age of thirty
four or there about to have and to hold the said bargained negros Ginney and bab to the
said Ginney Ann Brinson and to her heirs forever and the said Mary Harris for my self
and my heirs do forever warrant and defend the title of the aforesaid negros ginney and
bab to the said Ginney Ann Brinson and her heris free From incumbrance and from and
against the claim of any person whatsoever as witness my hand and seal this the 13th
of July 1839
