Martin Wells one hundred and fifty acres of land in Duplin County on the
south side of Island Creek. Begining at a maple the first station of his
old survey of one hundred and sixty acres. Thence the line of that
survey So. 60 Et. 160 pole to a lightwood tree his old corner thence
his other line No. 36 Et. 32 pole to a pine. Thence down the swamp So.
85 Et. 30 poles to a stake between a pine and white oak. Thence
along Henry Allens line So. 18 Wt. 88 pole to a pine his and John
Cooks corner then along Cooks line So. 30 Wt. 204 poles to a stake
on John Parkers line. Thence Parkers line No. 15 Wt. 120 pole to a
pine his corner in the edge of a pine. Thence his other line So. 75 Wt.
54 pole to a pine Frederick Wells's corner thence Wells's line No.
108 poles to a pine (continued on page 97)
his corner. Thence on or nigh said Wells's other line to the first
station.
