Lois & Abraham Newton To John Little

Deed for 85 acres lands

	This indenture made the twenty second day of February in the tenth year of our 
Independance & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six, Between 
Lois Newton & Abraham Newton of the State of No. Carolina of the one part and John Little 
of the same place of the other part witnesseth, that the said Lois & Abraham Newton for and 
in consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds State currency to them in hand paid by 
the said John Little the receipt whereof the said Lois & Abraham Newton doth hereby acknowledge 
and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said John Little his heirs and assigns forever, they 
the said Lois & Abraham Newton hath granted bargained sold aliend & confirmed and by these 
presents doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said John Little his heirs and 
assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in Duplin County on 
the north side of Farizes Creek including Abraham Newton's improvements.  Begining at a water 
oak in gum branch, thence as his own line So. 60 Et. 100 pole to a pine, thence So. 30 Wt. 60 
poles to a pine, thence along his other line Wt. 90 poles to a Maple in gum branch, thence up 
the branch as it meanders to the begining, containing in the whole eighty five acres, togeather 
with all and singular the woods underwoods profits commodities emoluments & heriditaments 
whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining & also the reversion & 
reversions remainder and remainders of the said premises & of every part thereof with the 
appurtenances & also all the estate right title interest claim & demand of them the said Lois 
Newton & Abraham Newton of in and to the said premises & every part thereof, to have & to hold 
the said land and premises and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said John 
Little his heirs and assigns to the only proper use & behoofe of the said John Little his heirs 
and assigns forever & the said Lois & Abraham Newton for themselves there heirs executors and 
administrators doth hereby convey and set over the before recited lands & premises & every part 
thereof against themselves their heirs & assigns against all and every other person or persons 
whatsoever to the said John Little his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant & forever defend 
by these presence.  In witness whereof the parties to these presents here hereunto set theis 
hands & seals the day & year first above written.

State of North Carolina Duplin County October Term 1786.
Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the oath of Aaron Williams & ordered
