Lois & Abraham Newton To John Little
Deed for 100 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty second day of February one thousand seven hundred and
eighty six, Between Lois Newton and Abraham Newton of the County of Duplin & State of North
Carolina of the one part & John Little of the same place of the other part witnesseth that the
said Lois & Abraham Newton for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds to them in
hand paid by the said John Little the receipt whereof the said Lois & Abraham doth hereby
acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said John Little his heirs and assigns
forever, they the said Lois & Abraham Newton hath granted bargained sold aliend & confirmed & by
these presents doth grant bargain sell alien & confirm unto the said John Little his heirs and
assigns forever, a certain piece of land situate lying and being in the County of Duplin on the
north side of Farires Creek begining at a pine on gum branch, at the mouth of a small branch,
thence as the line No. 30 Et. to the corner, thence as the giving line as fas as will make the
compliment of one hundred acres, it being part of a survey of three hundred and fifty acres
patent by Jacob Newton in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy five, togeather with
all and singular the woods under woods profits commodities emoluments & hereditaments whatsoever
to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining & also the reversion & reversions
remainder and remainders of said premises & of every part thereof with the appurtenances and
also all the estate right title interest claim and demand of them the said Lois Newton & Abraham
Newton of in and to the said premises & every part thereof. To have and to hold the said land
and premises & every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said John Little his heirs and
assigns tot he only proper use and behoofe of the said John Little his heirs & assigns forever,
& the said Lois Newton and Abraham Newton for themselves their heirs executors and administrators
doth hereby convey and set over the before recited lands and premises and every part thereof
against themselves their heirs and assigns & against all and evey other person or persons
whatsoever tot he said John Little his heirs and assigns, shall and will warrent and forever
defend by these presents. In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set
their hands & seals the day and year first above written.
