Lewis Outlaw to John J. Hurst
Bill of Sale for Negro Girl
Know all men by these presents that I Lewis Outlaw of the County of Duplin
and State of North Carolina do for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and
Sixty two dollars bargan sell & deliver unto John J. Hurst of teh County & State aforesaid
a negroe girl named Louiza about 12 years of age and the said Outlaw doth covernant
and agree to warrent and defend the right & title of said negroe girl to him the said hurst
from him his hirs unto him the said Hurst his heirs and assigns forever in tertimony set
his hand and affix his seal this 24 day Jany. 1837

O. R. Kenan Lewis Outlaw
State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Jany. Term 1839
the execution of the within Bill of Sale is duly acknowledg in open court Lewis Outlaw & is
ordered to be registered
