Lavin Wadkins one hundred and fifty acres of land in Duplin County on the North Side of Goshin
Swamp on Cowhole Branch. Begining at a maple and a poplar in said branch. James Hursts
lower corner thence along his line No. 48. Et. 110 poles to a Hickory. Thence Et. 56 pole to a
white oak and red oak his corner on John Foleys line. Thence along his line So. 76 pole to a
pine his corner thence Et. 88 pole to a pine his corner thence So. 5 Et. 20 pole to a red oak
saplin thence So. 35. Et. 64 pole to a stake on Baker Bowdens line thence No. 75. Et. 94 pole
to a hickory his corner thence So. 45 Wt. 46 pole to a red oak saplin by the road George
Outlaws corner thence along the road said Outlaws line 30 pole to a water oak in the Scantling
Branch. Thence down said branch as it meanders to the mouth to a red oak on said Wadkins
own line and joining his line up Cowhole Branch to the begining.
