Joseph Grimes three hundred acres of land in Duplin County in Goshan Swamp.  Joining his 
own David Moredock's and Stephen Herrings lines and Charles Wards Line.  Begining at a 
water oak in the run of Goshen on his own line and David Mordocks line and runs with Mordocks 
line No. 30 Et. 120 poles to a gum on a run on Goodsons line.  Thence with his line No. 60 Wt. 
160 poles to a water oak on ( continued on page 24) Herrings line.  Thence with his line No. 78 
Wt. 198 poles to a Cypress.  Thence So. 70 poles to a gum on Wards line.  Thence with Wards 
line and his own to the begining.
