Joseph Grimes one hundred acres of land in Duplin County Joining Sampson Grimes line.  
Begining at a Cypress at the head of the Great Slew on wards line and runs No. 25 Et. 36 
poles to a red oak on Westons line.  thence No. 50 Wt. 40 poles to a white oak on Outlaws 
corner.  Thence So. 70 Wt. 42 poles to a Cypress Outlaws corner.  Thence No. 39 Wt. 67 
poles to a stake on Grimeses line.  Thence with his line So. 48 Wt. 152 poles to an ashe.  
Thence No. 60 Wt. 65 poles to a gum.  Thence So. 60 poles to a gum thence the begining.
