Joseph Williams To David Williams
Deed for 150 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred & seventy nine Between Joseph Williams of the County of Duplin &
State of No. Carolina planter of the part & David Williams of the said County and State
aforesaid or the other part. Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Williams hath given granted
& confirmed & by these presents doth give grant & confirm unto the said David Williams his
heirs & assigns forever a certain piece of land lying & being in Duplin County in said
State on a branch of Rockfish Creek. Begining at a black jack at John Williams's upper
corner, runing east to the run of the swamp, thence up the run to the upper line, thence
Wt. along the line to the corner near Joseph James's thine SO. along the line to the
begining (Black Jack) supposed to be one hundred and fifty acres more or less it being
part of the land that Joseph Williams bought of John Walker the north west corner of the
survey. To have and to hold the above given premises with all and singular the
appurtenances previledges & comodities tot he same belonging or in any wise appertaining
unto him the said Davie Silliams his heris and assigns forver to his & their only proper
use benefit & behoofe forever more unto the said Davie Williams his heirs & assigns
forever, he and they shall and may from time to time & at all times forever hereafter
have hold use occupie posses & enjoy the above given premises & every part thereof free
and clear and freely & clearly acquited exonerated & discharged off & from all former and
other gifts grants bargains sails leases mortgages wills judgments executions incumbrance
of any kind or nature whatsoever, furthermore the said Joseph Williams for himself his
heirs & assigns do hereby warrant & defend the above given premises unto the said David
Williams his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull claim or clames of my person
or persons claiming by from or under me or my heirs. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & seal the day & year first above written.
