Jethro and Sarah Jones to Henderson and Martha Dunn 1914

This deed made this 7th day of September, 1914 by Jethro Jones and wife Sarah Jones of 
Duplin County and State of North Carolina of the first part to Henderson B. Dunn and wife 
Martha Dunn of Duplin County and State of North Carolina of the second part.
Witnesseth, that said Jethro Jones and wife Sarah Jones in consideration of a tract of land 
of equal nature and two dollars to them paid by the presents do grant bargain, sell and convey 
to said H.B. Dunn and Wife and their heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in 
Duplin county State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of S. C. Smith and others, bounded 
as follows viz,: 
Beginning at a stake on the Kenansville and Sarecta Road S.C. Smiths corner and runs the 
dividing line S 64 W 22 pole to a stake, thence n 23 w 14 poles and 21 links to a stake on the 
dividing line in the lane thence N 64 E 18 poles to a stake on the Sarecta road thence with the 
said road 16 poles to the beginning containing two acres more or less excepting for the above 
tract of land a pass way six feet wide on the North edge of said tract which cart way in now in 
use.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances 
thereto belonging to the said Henderson B. Dunn and wife and their heirs and assigns to their 
only use and behoove forever and the said Jethro Jones and wife Sarah Hones for themselves 
and their heirs executors and administrators covenant with said Henderson B. Dunn and Wife 
Martha Dunn and their heirs and assigns that they are seized of said premises in fee and have 
a right to convey in fee simple, that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances and that 
they do hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the 
claims of all persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof the said Jethro Jones and wife Sarah Jones have hereunto set their hand 
and seal the day and year first above written
