(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 1, 2, & 3 Jonathan Robinson To Abraham Molten Deed 105 Acres This Indenture made the Tenth day of June in the fourteenth year of American Independence and in the year of our Lord Chrtist one Thousand and seven hundred and ninety Between Jonathan Robinson of the State of North Carolina and County of New hanover Gentleman, of the one part and Abraham Molten of the State aforesaid and County of Duplin Planter of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Jonathan Robinson for the Consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds specie to him in hand well and truly paid by Abraham Molten aforesaid before the Ensealing and Delivering of these presents the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath by these presents granted bargained sold Assigned and Set over to the said Abraham Molten his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of Land Sittuate lying and being in Duplin County aforesaid on the East side of Stewarts Creek. Begining at the mouth of the big branch, Otherwise called Easons branch, where the said branch and Stewarts Creek joins & runs up the said branch the various courses About North 53 degrees East 70 poles to Thomas Johnstons back line, Thence North 38 West 140 poles to a white oak, thence North 60 poles to a pine, thence North 40 West 60 poles to a Hickory thence North 50 Wt 20 poles to a black gum. Thence down the various courses of Stewarts Creek to the first station containing in the whole one hundred and five acres be the same more or less. Being the contents of a deed from Felix Kenan Exq. Sheriff of Duplin County to John Robinson (Merchant) Late of New Hanover County Deceased, bearing date the Seventh day of November anne Dommini 1772. To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and premises with all the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Abraham Molten his heirs and assigns forever free from all former gifts grants Mortgages Intailes wills Dower Right or title of Dower Executions Entents or troubles whatever Committed or done by him the said Jonathan Robinson or any other person or persons whatever by from or under him or them or any of them. And the said Abraham Molten the aforesaid Land and premises with the appurtenances there to belonging shall and may have hold use occupy Enjoy Possess as his own free and lawfull Inheritance in as full and ample a Manner as he the said Jonathan Robinson as heir at Law to the aforesaid John Robinson Decd by virtue of the aforesaid Deed from Felix Kenan Esqr. Sheriff might or could have Enjoyed and the said Jonathan Robinson the aforesaid one hundred and five acres to him the said Abraham Molten his heirs and assigns shall and will warrent and forever defend from and against him the said Jonathan Robinson his heirs and assigns as also from and against the just and lawfull claim of all and every other person or persons whatever who may hereafter lay any lawfull claim to the same as far as in him lies as heir at Law to John Robinson Decd and by virtue of the aforesaid Deed from Felix Kenan Esq. Sheriff to John Robinson Decd he is Entitled or Enabled to do. In witness whereof the said Jonathan Robinson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the Date above Written. Signed Sealed & delivered Jonathan Robinson in the presents of James Kenan Thos. James Richd. Clinton July Term 1790 Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the Oath of Thomas James and ordered to be registered Test W Dickson C.C.
