(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 1 A Page 483, 484, & 485 John Willson To Thomas Green Deed for 42 acres lands This indenture made the seventh day of April in the eleventh year of American Independence & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty seven. Between John Willson of the County of Duplin & State of No. Carolina of the one part, & Thomas Green of the County & State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth, that the said John Willson for and in consideration of the sum of seven pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Green, the receipt whereof the said John Willson doth hereby acknowledge, & thereof doth acquit & discharge the said Thomas Green his heirs and assigns forever, he the said John Willson hath granted bargained sold aliend and confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargin sell alien and confirm unto the said Thomas Green his heirs & assigns forever, a certain tract ofland lying & being in the Counry aforesaid in said State on the north side of the main Creek ofr Rockfish. Begining at a white oak on the east side of the long Branch, & on his old line, runing thence No. 2 Et. 84 poles to a stake on the other line, thence with the line No. 68 Et. 54 pole to a white oak the old corner, thence So. 20 Et. 100 pole to a small pine, the other corner, thence SO. 70 Wt. 92 pole to the first station, supposed to contain forty two acres less or more & it being part of a survey of one hundred acres patend by the said John Willson in the year of our Lord 1782, together with all and singular the woods under woods profits commodities emoluments & hereditaments whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining, & also the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders of the said premises & of every part thereof with the appurtenances & also all the estate right title interest claim & demand of him the said John Willson of in and to the said premises & every part thereof. To have and to hold the before recited land and premises & every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Green his heirs and assigns forever, to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Thomas Green his heirs & assigns forever, & the said John Willson for himself his heirs executors & administrators doth hereby convey & set over the before recited lands & premises unto the said Thomas Green his heirs and assigns forever against, the lawfull claim or claims of any person or persons claiming by from or under me my heirs or any other person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the parties to these presents hath hereunto set their hands & seal the day & year first above written. John Willson Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Aarom Williams James Rawlings State of No. Carolina Duplin County January Term 1788.
