John Rivenbark To John Boney Deed 17 March 1787

(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 1 A Page 379, & 380 John Rivenbark To John Boney Deed for 100 acres lands This indenture made the seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven, Between John Rivenbark of the State of No. Carolina County of New Hanover of the one part, & John Boney of the State aforesaid & County of Duplin of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Rivenbark for divers good causes & considerations him thereunto moving, but more especially for the valuable consideration of the sum of sixty pounds current money of the State aforesaid to him in hand well and truly paid or secured to be paid by John Boney aforesaid before the ensealing & delivery of these presents, the rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath by these presents given granted bargained sold assigned & set over to the said John Boney his heirs & assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of land sittuate lying & being in Duplin County aforesaid on the long Branch of Rockfish creek. Begining at a pine Wimbark Boney's corner, the first station of the paten, thence as the paten line, No. 60 Wt. 40 pole to a pine sapling, thence So. 30 Wt. 100 pole to a pine, thence So. 60 Et. 160 pole to a pine by the Long Branch at Wm. Caise's line, thence up the Branch No. 30 Et. 100 pole to a pine, thence to the begining, containing one hundred acreds, be the same more or less. To have & to hold the aforesaid land & premises with all the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining of every nature or kind whatever to him the said John Boney his heirs and assigns forever, free from all former gifts grants mortgages intails wills executions or troubles whatever & the said John Rivenbark for himself his heirs executors administrators & assigns the aforesaid land and premises with allo the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said John Boney his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever defend from & against him the said John Rivenbark his heirs &v assigns as also from & against the just & lawfull claim of all & every other person or persons whatever who mayv hereafter lay any lawful clame to the same. In witness whereof the said John Rivenbark hath hereunto set his hand & seal the date above written.
