(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 12 Page 141, 142, & 143 John Parker To Jiles T Lofton Deed 75 acres Land State of North Carolina Duplin County This Indentrue made this 12th day of November in the year or our Lord Christ one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty three and 58th year of the independance of the United States of America between John Parker of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Jiles T Loftin of the same County & State of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & five dollars to the said John Parker In hand paid at or before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is acknowledged thereof to be therewith fully satisfied contented and paid have given granted Bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff confirm convey and set over unto unto Giles T Loftin his heirs and assigns the following messuage tract or parcil of Land situate lying and being in the County & State aforesaid on the south side of the North East Bounded as follows (To wit) Begining at a Lightwood Stump by the road side in the said Giles T Loftins own line and runs so 5 wt 107 poles to a stake his corner thence with his line North 80 wt 127 pole to a stake by the side of the Road his corner thence so 80 Et along the Road to the Begining containing twnety five acres to have and to hold the above bargained land and premises freely aquited and discharged of and from all manner of incumbrance or incumbrances whatsoever with all priviledges and advantages with the appurtenances thereon or there unto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to him the said Jiles T Loftin his heirs Extrs adms or assings forever and the said John Parker doth for his part bind and oblige himself to warrant secure and forever defend the before Bargained Land and premises freely acquited and of and from the just and Lawfull claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming any right title Interest use trust or property in same or any part or parcil thereof in witness whereof the said John Parker have hereunto set his hand and seal day & year first written signed sealed and delivered in the presents of John Parker Test D Jones Robert Southerland State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of please & Quarter Sessions Jany term 1840 The Execution of the within deed is duly proved in open court by the oath of Daniel Jones a subscribing witness thereto and is ordered to be registered Copy N Routledge Rgr Test James Dickson Clk
