(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 10, 11 & 12 John Oliver To Benjamin Oliver Deed 21 3/4 acres This Indenture made this 13th day of July 1839 between John Oliver of the County of Duplin in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Benjamin Oliver of the same place of the other part witnesseth that the said John Oliver for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty six dollars to him in hand paid or secured to be paid before the Executing of them presents hath granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell set over & deliver to the said Benjamin Oliver the following tracts or parcils of Land in Duplin County & on the waters of Bear marsh (viz) one piece begining at a Stake Benj. Olivers corner in John Carrs line & runs with his line along the lane No 75 wt 46 1/4 poles to a stake Carrs corner then with his other line no 10 wt 64 1/2 poles to a Stake his other corner in Olivers field then with his line Et 13 poles to a pine his other corner then with his other line So 5 Et 16 poles his other corner with his other line so 35 et 74 poles to the first station containing nine & three fourths acres mor or less Also one other tract begining at a pine near Olivers Plantation about twenty yards North of the main Road Shuffields old corner and Runs No 88 wt 80 poloes with his line to a black Jack in his line then No 60 Et runing by the School House 86 poles to a pine in Shuffields other line formerly then to the begining containing Twelve acres more or Less to have & to hold the said bargained lands & premises to the said Benjamin Oliver & his Heirs forever and the said John Oliver doth bind himself his Heirs Executors & Administrators to defend and secure the title of the before mentioned Lands and premises to the said Benjamin Oliver & his Heirs free from all Incumbrances and from and against the claim of any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day first mentioned J.
