Miller Deed 999 ¼ acres State of North Carolina Duplin County This indenture made the 13th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and and thirty seven between John Miller of the one part and William W. Miller of the other part both of the County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said John Miller for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand Dollars to him paid by the said William W. Miller the recipt whereof is here by acknowledge hath bargain and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said William W. Miller his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being on the west side of the North East River and in the aforesaid State and County bounded as followth Beginning at a pine in the edge of Smith branch thence with best line No. 86 west 12 poles to a hickory thence west 64 poles to a pine thence So. 5 Wt. 88 poles to a pine best other corner thence with Best other line west 59 pols to a stake said best corner thence So. 35 East 55 poles to a poplar in dark branch as it manders about 93 poles below the field where Hannson house stands an ash on said run thence So 9 wt 44 poles to a pine on the publick road thence with said road to Sarcta bridge thence up the the river as it meanders to where the Sain is generally halled at white oak corner of 113 acres allotted to Richard Miller thence with said Line as follows No 59 wt 5 poles thence So 32 west 15 poles thence So 53 west 4 poles to oucter oak thence North 66 west 52 poles to a water oak thence No 13 west 120 poles to a persimmion thence No 32 Est 20 poles to an oak a corner of Lot No. 5 thence with different lowes that divides Lat No. 5 & 6 to the beginning containing by estimation nine hundred and ninety nine can quarter acres more or less to have and to hold the afore said tract or parcel of land with all its privaliges to him his hears and assigns forever and the said John Miller for himself and his heirs the above name tract or parcel land unto William W. Miller his Exicutors administrators and assigns against all and every other person whatsoever that and will forever warrant and defend in witness where of the said John hath hereunto set his hand and seal day and date above written signed sealed and delivered in presents of us J.
