(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 249 John Magee and Ebenezer Garison To Jacob Williams Bill of sale for 3 negroes State of No. Carolina Duplin County Know all men by these presents that I John Magee of the said State and County aforesaid and Ebenezar Garison of the same state and County aforesaid have Bargained and sold and Delivered unto Jacob Williams of the same state and County aforesaid Three negroes one woman named Jean about 35 years old and one Boy named Jack about Eleven years old and one girl named Pege about three years old for and In Consideration of the sum of one Hundred and ninety pounds specie to him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivering hereof and do warrant and forever defend the property said negroes free from all Claim of me my heirs and assigns and any person or persons laying any Just or Lawfull Claim thereunto In Witness whereof I the said John Magee and Ebenezar Garison have hereunto set our hands and seals this sixth day of April 1791 William Farrior John Parker John Megee Ebenezar Garison State of No. Carolina Duplin County April Term 1791 Then was the within bill of sale proved in open Court by the oath of William Farrior and ordered to be registered.
