John Little To Stephen Williams
Deed of 200 acres of lands
This indenture made the 22nd day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and eighty four between John Little of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina
of the one pare, and Stephen Williams of the County & State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said John Little for and in consideration of the sum of forty five pounds
specie to him in hand paid by the said Stephen Williams, the receipt whereof the said John
Little doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof doth aquit, and discharge the said Stephen Williams
his heirs & assigns forever, he the said John Little hath granted bargained & sold aliend and
confirmed, and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Stephen
Williams he his heirs and assigns forever, a certain pierce of land lying and being in Duplin
County in said State on the North side of Rockfish Creek. Beginning at a white oak of Joseph
Williams' line; thence as his line North 26 Et. 127 poles to a pine, thence North 54 West 25
poles to a stake; thence So. 26 West 127 poles to a stake; thence to the beginning, containing
in the whole two hundred acres together with all & singular the woods under woods profits
comodities emaluments and heriditaments whatsoever to the said premise, belonging or in any
wise appertaining, and also the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders of the said
premises and of every part thereof, with the appurtenances and also the estate right title
interest claim and demand of him the said John Little of in and to the said premises & every
part thereof. To have and to hold the said before reoited lands and premises and every parth
thereof unto the said Stephen Williams his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use
benefit and behoof of the said Stephen Williams his heirs and assigns forever, and the said
John Little for himself his heirs and assigns do hereby warrant and defend the above bargained
premises unto the said Stephen Wiliams his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim
or claims of any person or persons claiming by from or under me or my heirs. In Witness where
of I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
