John Little To John Blanton
Deed for 86 acres lands
This indenture made the twenty second day of March in the eleventh year of American
Independence & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty seven. Between
John Little of the State of North Carolina & County of Duplin of the one part, & John
Blanton of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John
Little for and in consideration of the sum of ten pounds to him in hand paid by the said
John Blanton the receipt whereof, the said John Little doth hereby acknowledge & thereof &
therefrom doth acquit & discharge the said John Blanton his heirs & assigns forever, he the
said John Little hath granted bargained sold aliened & confirmed & by these presents doth
grant bargain sell alien & confirm unto the said John Blanton his heirs & assigns forever,
a certain tract or parcel of land containing eighty six acres lying & being in the County of
Duplin on the north side of the Doctors Creek of Rockfish. Begining at a pine James Rawlings'
line, thence No. 180 poles to a pine thence Wt. 90 pole to a red oak, thence So. 84 poles to
a stake in a Branch, thence Et. 24 poles to a stake Rawlings' corner, thence as his line So.
100 poles to a pine, thence Rawlings' line to the begining, togeather with all and singular
the woods under woods profits commodities emoluments & heriditaments whatsoever to the said
premises belonging or in any wise appertaining & also the reversion & reversions remainder &
remainders of the said premises, & of every part thereof with the appurtenances, and also all
the estate right title interest claim & demand of him the said John Little of in and to the
said premises & every part thereof. To have and to hold the before recited lands & premises
& every part thereof with the appurtenances to the said John Blanton his heirs & assigns forever
& the said John Little for himself his heirs executors & administrators doth hereby convey and
set over the before recited lands & premises & every part thereof against the lawfull claim or
claims of any person or persons claiming by from or under me or my heirs or any other person or
persons whatsoever, to the said John Blanton his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever
defend by these presents. In witness whereof the parties to these presents hath hereunto set
their hands & seals the day & year first above written.
