John Land To Renatus Land
Deed 100 acres
State of North Carolina Duplin County
This Indenture made this tenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
Hundred and Eighty Eight and the thirteenth year of our Independence Between Renatus Land
and John Land both of the said County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said John Land
for and In Consideration of the sum of one Hundred and twenty pounds specie to him in hand
paid by the said Renatus Land the receipt whereof he the said John Land hereby acknowledges
himself to be therewith fully contented satisfied and paid and every part thereof doth fully
freely and absolutely aquit Exonerate & discharge him the said Renatus Land his heirs and
assigns forever I have given granted bargained sold and by these presents do freely fully and
absolutely give grant bargain sell alienate Enfeoff convey assigna and forever make over and
confirm unto him the said Renatus Land his heirs and assigns a certain Plantation Tract or
parcel of Land containing one Hundred acres according to Patent the said Land being patened
by Robert Land the fifty day of May 1763, and made over unto John Land, and from him to Renatus
Land. The said One Hundred acres of Land lying and being in our County of Duplin on the North
side of Cypress Creek an a Branch thereof Called Island Branch Including his Improvements.
Begining at a pine Runing So 30 Wt 127 poles to a pine thence So 10 Et 127 poles to a red oak
thence So 80 Et 127 to a sweet gum In Island Branch thence up the Branch to the Begining to have
and to hold unto ye said Renatus Land his heirs and assigns forever together with all improvements
appertainances and previledges thereunto and to the only proper use Benefit and behooffe of him
ye said Renatus Land his heirs Exesr. Admrs. and assigns forever and the said John Land doth for
himself his heirs Executors and Admrs. covenant grant and agree to and with him ye said Renatus
Land his heirs and assigns that he and they shall from time to time and at all times forever
hereafter hold use occupy possess and Enjoy the aforesaid Bargained premises & every part and
parcel thereof without the least Interruption molistation or hindreance of him the said John
Land his heirs of assign or any other person or persons whatsoever and further that the ye said
John Land his heirs Executors Admrs. and assigns shall and will from time to time and at all times
for ever hereafter make doo and Execute all ye Reasonable of him the said Renatus Land his heirs
or assigns all such further conveyances and asshureances in the Law for the more parfect asshuring
and conveying the aforesaid Land and premises unto the said Renatus Land his heirs and assigns
forever as bythe said Renatus Land Etorney Learned in the Law shall be Devised advised or required
and lastly that he ye said John Land his Heirs Execr. Admrs. shall and will forever hereafter
warrent and Defend the aforesaid peice of Land with the appertainance premises and previledges
thereunto belonging or any ways appertaining unto him the said Renatus Land his heirs Excrs. Admrs.
and assigns against all manner of foremer gifts grants sales Leases useses wills Dowerys Entails
Covenants Mortgages or Judgements or other Incumberances what Nature or kind soever by me ye said
John Land or any other person or persons whatsoever or whomsoever Laying any Lawfull Claim whereunto
or part or parcel thereof in as full and ample a manner as any Lands are holden in this Government
in witness whereof I the said John Land have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this day and year
above written.
