John Hart To Benjamin Brock Deed 18 October 1791

(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 394, 395, & 396 John Hart To Benjamin Brock Deed 100 acres This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Ninety one. Between John Hart of the State of No. Carolina and County of Dobbs of the one part and Benjm. Brock of the State aforesaid and County of Duplin of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Hart for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds Current money of the State to him in hand paid or Secured to be paid by Benjamin Brock aforesaid, before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Hath by these presents given granted Bargained Sold assigned and set over to the said Benjamin Brock his heirs and assigns forever one Certain Tract or parcel of Land Lying and being in the County of Duplin and on the South side of the No. East of Cape fare River near the head and on a small Branch called the Lodd Branch being a prong of pole bridge Being part of a Survey taken up by Samuel Ward Paten Bearing Date the first day of April in the year of 1780. Bounded as follows--- Beginning at said Lodds Branch at the mouth of a small Branch called the Punch Bole meadow Branch running up said meadow Branch to the head and so to join the Line of the Survey thence with said Line No. 40 Wt. to the Lodd Branch thence Down the Run of said Lodd Branch to the Beginning Containing one hundred acres more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid Tract of Land with all the appertainances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Benjamin Brock his heirs and assigns forever free from all former gifts grants Mortgages Intails wills Dower rights of titles of Dower or any other Ineum brance whatsoever given granted or Done by him the said John Hart or any other person or persons whatsoever by from or under him or them or any of theim and the said Benjamin Brock his heirs and assigns Doth have the afoaresaid Land and premises with all the appertainances there Belonging shall and may have hold use occupy Enjoy and possess as his own free and Lawfull Inheritance and the said John Hart the aforesaid Land and premises with all appertainces thereto belonging shall and will warrant and forever defend to him the said Benjamin Brock his heirs and assigns forever from and against from and against him the said John Hart his heirs and assigns as also from and against the just and Lawfull Cliam of all and Every person or persons whatsoever who may hereafter Lay and Lawfull Claims to the same In Witness whereof the said John Hart hath hereunto set his hand and seal at Duplin the 18th day October Anno Domini 1791 Signed Sealed and Delivered In the presence of John Hart Beazent Brock William State of No. Carolina Duplin County January Term 1792 Then was the within Deed proved in open Court by the Oath of Berzent Brock and ordered to be Registered.
