John Frederick To Hollowell Hodges

Bill of Sale for Negro boy Danil

Know all men by in these presents that I John Frederick of Duplin County & State of 
North Carolina and in consideration of the some of three Hundred and fifty dollars 
to me in hand paid by Hollowell Hodges of said County and State receipt and payment 
whereof I the said John Frederick do here by acknowledge and bargain & sell and 
delivered unto said Hollowell Hodges a certain negro boy by the name of Daniel aged 
Eleven years old the said Negro to Hollowell Hodges his heirs and assigns forever 
delivered in the presents of October 8th 1839

The Exicution of the within bill of sale is duly proved in open Court by the oath of
