(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 129, 130, & 131 John Frank To Lott Gregory Deed 100 acres This Indenture made the fourteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety. Between John Frank of the County of Jones and State of North Carolina of the one part and Lott Gregory of the County of Sampson and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Frank for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen pounds to him in hand paid by the said Lott Gregory the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said John Frank hath granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain and unto the said Lott Gregory his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of parcel of land lying in the County of Duplin on the west side of the Beaverdam of Limestone about half a mile above where the road crosses the said Beaverdam swamp begining at a white oak on the side of the swamp and Runs west 126 poles to a Blackjack then No. 164 poles to a pine on the side of the Beaverdam swamp thence Et. 70 poles to a stake on Solomon Coxes line in said swamp thence to the begining containing by Estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less by Patent granted to Henry Hewlet dated the 29th day of October 1782. and by the said Hewlet sold to John Frank To have and to hold the above mentioned one hundred acres of Land and premises and every part and parcel thereof with the Heridittaments and appertainances thereunto belonging unto the said Lott Gregory his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and Benefit of the said Lott Gregory his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Frank for himself and his heirs the aforesaid Land and premises and every part and parcel thereof against himself and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatever to the said Lott Gregory his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever Defend In witness whereof he hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed sealed and Delivered John Frank in presence of ANdrew Cox Hannah Cox State of No. Carolina Duplin County January Term 1791 Then was the within Deed proved in open Court by the oath of Andrew Cox and ordered to be Registered.
