John Evers To Isaac James
Deed 150 acres
State of No. Carolina Duplin County
This Indenture made this twentieth Day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven Hundred ninety Between John Evers of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and
Isaack James of the said State and County of the other part Witnesseth that the aforesaid John
Evers for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred pounds specie to me in hand paid is
hereby acknowledged and I am therewith fully satisfied contented and paid and of part and parcel
thereof Doth Exonerate aquit and Discharge the said Isaac James his Heirs and assigns forever
and the said John Ev ers for the above consideration of one Hundred pounds, Have given granted
Bargained and sold unto the aforesaid Isaac James one Messuage Tract or parcel of Land, situate
lying and being in the aforesaid County and on the west side of the No. East of Capefare and on
the south side of Island Creek, Begining at a cypress stump on said Island Creek Run near the
mouth of pauls branch thence running a cross a small piece of swamp to a poplar on the aforesaid
pauls branch thence running up the various courses of said Branch to the head thereof thence Runing
along a line of marked trees concluding to be the Dividing Line between said Isaac James & Leachr.
White to a Blackjack oak standing in the side line of the upper survey of one Hundred acres patend
by said Evers thence Runing Wt. along said paten Line to the corner thence No. 90 poles along the
Paten Line to a blackjack thence continuing the course to the old patent line thence West along
said patent line to the corner. Thence No. along said patent line 127 poles to an stake In the
edge of the Creek swamp thence East along the Patent Line to the Begining. The above said land
contains by estimation one Hundred and fifty acres of Land be the same more or less unto him the
said Isaac James to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with all the
appurtainances previledges and commoditys thereunto belonging or In any wise appurtaining to him
the said Isaac James his heirs Executors admrs. and assigns to his and their only proper use Benefit
and behooffe and the said Isaac James his heirs or assigns shall and may from time to time and at
all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and Quitly
have hold use occupy possess and Enjoy the said Demised and bargained premises with every of the
appertainances thereunto belonging free and clear from all Incumberances whatsoever Except what to
a may hereafter may claim due further more I the said John Evers for myself my heirs Exrs. admrs.
and assigns do covenant and engage the above Demised and bargained land and premises to the said
Isaac James his heir Exrs. admrs. & assigns against the Lawfull claim or Demand of any other person
or persons whatsoever forever hereafter Doth warrant secure and defend the same In Witness whereof
I have hereinto set my hand and fixed my seal the Day and year first above written.
