John Dickson To Henry Allen Junior
Deed 200 acres
This Indenture made this Fifteenth day January in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and
ninety one and in the fifteenth year of American Independence. Between John Dickson of the County of Duplin
of the one part and Henry Allen Junior planter of the County of Duplin of the other part. Witnesseth that for
and in Consideration of the sum of twenty pounds currency to the said John Dickson in hand paid by the said
Henry Allen Jur. At and before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents. The receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, Hath granted Bargained Sold alienated enfeoffed Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents
doth grant Bargain sell alien enfeoffe convey and confirm unto the said Henry Allen Junior his Heirs and assigns
forever all that piece or parcel of Land in Duplin County on the West side of the North East River on both sides
of Island creek joining and between Fredrick Wells Henry Allen and Lewis Thomases Lines, Beginning at three red
oaks on the No. East side of Island Creek Wells’s and Cooks corner thence with Wells’s line No. 90 poles to a
pine his corner Thence Wt. 100 poles to a pine his and Allens corner Thence with Allens line No. 19 Et. 180
poles to a pine his corner Thence East 160 poles to a stake in Thomas’s line, Thence with his line So. 166
poles to a pine his corner. Thence to the Beginning Patent bearing Date November the 26th 1789 and containing
200 acres. To have and to hold the above bargained Land and premises with all appurtenances whatsoever Thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Henry Allen jur. His heirs and assigns forever, and the
said John Dickson his heirs Executors administrators doth hereby covenant and agree that he the said John Dickson
his heirs Executors aadministrators shall and will at all times warrant and forever defend the said premises to
the said Henry Allen junr. His heirs and assigns against all Lawfull claims or demands whatsoever, whereby the
above mentioned premises might or may be affected or incumbred contrary to the true intent and meaning of these
presents. In witness whereof the said John Dickson the said hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year
first above written.
