John Beeck To James Wright
Bill of Sale
North Carolina
Know all men by these presents that I John Beeck of the County of Duplin and State aforesaid
for and consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds paper currency to me in hand paid by
the James Wright Blacksmith of said County of Duplin In the State aforesaid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have Bargained and sold unto the said James Wright one negroe man
slave named Andrew about twenty one years of age which said negroe is now in the possession
Mrs. Mary Bell the widow of Archabel Bell Decd. of Sampson County who is is Intitled to the
use of the said slave during her life. which said Negroe Andrew from and after the Death of
the said Mary Bell I hereby warrant to the said James Wright his heirs and assigns against
the Right title Claim or Lawfull demand of all and all persons whatsoever In witness whereof
I have hereunto my hand & seal this ninth day of January 1790.
