Know ye that I John Beck of the County of Duplin in the state of No. Carolina for and In consideration of the sum of six Hundred and fifty pounds Current money of the state of North Carolina, to me in hand paid by William Beck of the state and County aforesaid, before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents, the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and myself to therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid and of every part and parcel thereof; do Exonerate aquit and Discharge the said William Beck, his heirs, Execute and administrators forever, by these presents have given, granted, Bargained, sold, aliened enfeoffed conveyed confirmed, assigned, and set over and by these presents do fully freely and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoffe, convey confirm, assign and set over unto the said William Beck, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and assigns forever two certain Plantations Tracts or parcels of Land situated, lying and being in the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina aforesaid, on the South side of Goshen swamp and on the west side of Panther swamp and on both sides of a branch called camp branch, one of which Tracts of Land and Plantations is buted and bounded as follows to wit, Begining at a Maple and gum in the side of Goshen swamp, about a quarter of a mile above the mouth of Panther swamp being the Lower corner of another survey; and runs along the line of the said survey, No. 85 Wt. 170 pole to a small hickory thence So. 210 Wt. 60 pole to a stake, thence No. 65 Wt. 60 poles to a white oak, thence So. 63 Wt. 220 poles to a small black oak near the head of Camp branch, thence So. 35 East 110 pole to a black oak in Hillary Hookes line, thence along his line, Et. 90 pole to a pine thence No. 75 Et. 70 pole to a poplar, thence So. 75 Et. 64 poles to a white oak, on the run of Panther swamp, Hillary Hookes Lower Corner thence down the said run of Panther as it meanders along Henry Faisons Boundary to a black gum at the run of Goshen swamp said Henry Faisons Corner thence up the run of Goshen to a white oak on the side thereof, thence So 55 Wt 12 poles to a Red oak thence No. 35 Wt. 32 poles toa white oak, thence No. 64 Et. 6 poles to a maple and gum on the side of a small run thence up the said run to the begining Containg by estimation four hundred acres of Land be the same more or less one acre and an half thereof excepted which was here tofore laid off by an order of the County Court of Duplin for the benefit and previledge of a great Mill belonging to the Estate of Henry Faison which is recorded in the said County Court to according to Law as Record may appear. The said Tract of Lan being formerly the property of Henry Eustace McCulloh Esquire and as his property sold by the Sheriff of the said County of Duplin by virtue of a Writ of Fieri Faceras against the Estate of the said Henry E. McCulloh Sr. George Farar and by him, since sold and cibveted to the said John Beck Referance to said conveyance being had may more fully appear. The other Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County Duplin aforesaid on the south side of Goshen swamp and on the head of Camp branch joining the aforesaid Tract of Land Bounded as follows to wit. Begining at a small pine George Frars corner and runs thence along his line, So. 40 Et. 62 poles to a black oak his other corner in Hillary Hookes line, thence along said Hookses line No. 42 Et. 160 poles to a black oak his corner, thence along the line of the other Tract hereby sold No. 35 Wt. 120 to a black oak near the head of camp branch thence along John Becks line So. 63 Wt. 130 poles to a blackjack and pine on said Frazars line thence along his line So. 60 Et. 41 poles to the begining containing by estimation Ninety three acres be the same more or less, being in the shole Four hundred and ninety three acres including the plantation and buildings whereon I the said John Beck lately lived to have and to hold all the above said premises with all and singular the appurtainances thereon or thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to the said William Beck his heirs Exrs. Administrators or assigns forever, free and clear freely and clearly, discharged off and from all manner of former or other gifts, grants, Bargains, slaes, Leases, wills, Judgements, Jointures, Dowers or Right and title of Dower and from all manner of Incumberances whatsoever, the Taxes thereon becoming due and payable to the State from the Date hereof, only excepted, And I the said John Beck do By these presents for my self my heris Executors adminitrators covenant promise and agree to and with the said William Beck to warrant and defend the above said four hundred and ninety three acres of Land and premises above described to him the said William Beck his heirs and assigns forever, from and against the lawfull claim and Demand of me the said John Beck, my heirs Executors or Administrators, and from and aginst the just and Lawfull claim or Demand oif all and every other person or persons whatsoever, claiming and Right Title Interest, or property in or to the same, or any part or parcel thereof, In witness whereof I the said John Beck have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of January in the fifteenth year Independence and in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and ninety one. signed sealed and Delivered John Beck In the presence of Stephen Beck H.
