Johnathan Kethly To E Cobb

Deed for 500 acres of Land

Know all men by these presents that I Johnathan Kethly of the County of Duplin and State 
of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred Dollars to me in 
hand paid by Enoch Cobb of the County of Wayne and State aforesaid have this day bargained 
and sold unto the said Enoch Cobb one certain tract and parcil of land situated lying on 
the south side of the North East Begining at a stake on the run of the North East and runs 
along Kornegays line so 25 wt 350 poles to a pine an old corner the Johnson line along the 
said line to a pine the old corner Gaddins line thence along the said line to the Juniper 
Branch thence down said Branch to the run of the Beverdam thence up said run to the Road 
thence along the said Road No 2 Et 100 pole then No 25 Et 56 pole then No 57 Et along the 
said Road 91 pole to a Stake on Mark Kiethly line then along his line south 23 Et to a Stake 
near the End of the Mill dam thence to the run of Beaverdam just below the mill thence down 
the run of the Beaverdam to the run of the North Et Run Run to the Begining in cluding five 
hundred acres be the same more or Less to which may fully appear by a dead from Jonathan Kiethly 
Senr to me and and part of a deed from Daniel Keathly to me the said J Keathly to geather with 
all the priveledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging and I the said Jonathan Kithly for 
my self my heris and assigns do warrant & defend the said land and premises to the said Enoch 
Cobb his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affixed my 
seal this the 16th day of January 1837 asined and delivered in the presents of

The Execution of the within deed is duly proved in open Court by the oath of Mark Keathly a 
subscribing witness thereto and is ordered to be registered
