Joseph Smith one hundred acres of land in Duplin County the Northside of the Grove Swamp.  
begining at a cypress and water oak at the run of the north Edge thereof, thence No. 40 poles 
to a large cypress at the edge of the high land George Williams's corner. Thence up the swamp 
with George Williams's line about South 80 Wt. 434 poles to a maple (continued on page 148) 
McCullochs old corner above the mouth of the Mill branch, then South 30 Et. 32 poles to a gum 
and ashe at the creek, thence down the Creek the Main rum as it meanders to the first station.
