James Wright four hundred & forty acres of land in Duplin County
on the North side of Rockfish Creek a place called Potters Land.
Begining at a large pine in the South edge of a small Island a fore
and aft tree. Thence along Hawkinses of Duffs line No. 12 Wt. 164
poles to a white oak and persimmon. Four pole No. of Hawkinses
corner. Thence James Pheobus's line So. 65 Et. 208 poles to a pine
No. edge the Road. Thence down the road So. 45 Et. 65 poles to a
pine, thence So. 50 Wt. 130 poles to a pine. Then Shadrach Stallings
line So. 30 Et. 180 poles to a pine. Thence So. 60 Wt. 82 pole to a
pine. Thence Wt. 106 poles to a water oak on the creek bank.
Thence up the creek as it meanders until No. 12 Et. strikes begining,
thence to the first station.
Dated the Twenty first day of September 1785
