James Phebus six hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the branches of Rockfish
between the lines of a survey of two hundred and fifty acres patened by Joseph Bevan
and Teacheys lines. Begining at a pine the third corner of said two hundred and fifty
acres survey by the pocoson. Thence that line No. 60 Wt. 186 poles to a pine & black
jack. Thence William Duffs line No. 30 Et. 160 poles to a hickory. Then No. 60 Wt. 23
poles to a poplar dogwood & red oak. Then up Harreys branch No. 45 Et. 56 poles to a
stake. Thence Rivenbarks line No. 83 Et. 32 poles to a pine the corner. Thence the
other line No. 7 Wt. 188 poles to a gum the corner in Perrys branch. Thenc by the
pocoson No. 70 Et. 44 poles to a stake. South 80 Et. 40 poles. South 40 Et. 150 poles
East 40 poles South 15 Et. 184 poles to a pine. Thence South 88 poles to a pine by the
pocoson and thence to the begining.
