John Williams four hundred acres of land in Duplin County East side the No. Et. River and
South Side of Panther Swamp Begining at a Red Oak on the swamp side his old corner.
Just above the Mouth of Gum Branch thence 80 Et. 150 poles to a pine No. 35 Et. 80
poles to a pine his own old line So. 15 Wt. 120 poles to a pine thence No. 75 Wt. 120 poles
to a pine. Thence No. 27 Et. 56 poles to a Red Oak (Continued on page 17) at the side of
a branch thence New lines up the meanders of a branch to a pine at the Mouth of a Sprout
(which on a stright line is So. 44 Et. 114 poles). Thence So. 40 Wt. 220 poles to a Lightwood
Stump by a marked pine, thence No. 80 Wt. 114 poles to a stake on Frederick Smiths line.
Thence his line No. 34 poles to a pine and Black Jack his corner. Thence his other line Wt.
240 poles to a Black Jack his corner Thence as his other line No. to his corner and (???) 200
poles to a white oak thence on or near his old line. So. 65 Et. 100 poles to a pine thence No.
25 Et. 20 poles to a stake in Panther Swamp thence to the begining.
