7 November 1789 Sampson DB 8 page 307:
John Holly (Holley) to Sampson Lee. £100 "Current money of the State" for two tracts of
land. The first tract consisted of 39A "On the West side of great Coheary Beginning at a
pine formerly Called William Williams Corner." Deed mentions **Bartholomew Gayney
and "said Holleys Patent line." Land was "granted to said Holly by Pattent Bearing date"
12 October 1787. The second
tract consisted of 127 acres "On both sides of great Coheary Beginnning at his own Corner
West side of Coheary opposite the mouth of Blackmans swamp." Deed mentions Joab
Blackman. Land was "part of a tract of land granted to said Holly by Pattent bearing date"
1788 (13th year of Ind.).
