Jere Stricklin To Dickson Sloan
Deed 2 3/4 acres
This Indenture made the 26th day of April in the year of our Lord on Thousand Eight hundred
and thirty between Jeremiah Stricklin of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina of
the one part and Dickson Sloan of the same State and County of Sampson of the other part
witnesseth that the said Jeremiah Stricklin for and in consideration of the sum of the sum
of thirty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Dickson Sloan the Receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged that the said Jeremiah Stricklin have bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do bargain sell deliver set over and forever confirm unto the said Dickson Sloan a
certain tract or parcil of Land situate lying and being in the County of Duplin and on the
west side of the R Road butted and bounded as follows Begining at a stake on the south Edge
of the County Road and Runs thence south 18 Et 22 poles to a stake thence south 70 west 22
poles to a stake thence No 18 west 22 poles to a stake on the County Road thence along said
Road No 70 Et 12 poles to David D Sloans corner thence with his line so 18 Et 8 poles to a
stake thence No 70 Et 4 poles 12 feet to a stake thence No 18 wt 8 poles to a stake on the
County Road thence along with said Roat to the begining containint two acres and three quarters
be the same more or Less to have and to hold the aforesaid Lands and premises unto him the
said Dickson Sloan his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jeremiah Stricklin will warrant
and forever defend the above lands and premises free from him his Heirs Exctrs admrs and Assigns
forever unto him the said Dickson Sloan to his own proper use and behoof in fee simple in
witness whereof the said Jeremiah Stricklin has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal the
day & date above written signed sealied and delivered in the presence of
Jerey Stricklin
