Jeremiah Williams To William Collins
Deed 75 acres
This Indenture made 31st day of December in the year of our Lord Christ seventeen hundred and ninety one.
Between Jeremiah Williams of the County of Duplin and State of No. Carolina planter send Greeting know ye that I
the said Jeremiah Williams for and in Consideration of Sixty pounds specie to me in hand paid before the Ensealing
Delivering hereof unto William Collins of the County and State aforesaid have bargained and sold & conveyed
Enfeoffed assigned set over unto William Collins a certain Tract of Land containing seventy five acres be the
same more or less lying and being in the County of Duplin in our state of No. Carolina on a Branch of muddy
creek called Staffords Branch joining James Ellices line beginning at a white oak in the run of the said Branch
thence Running No. 30 Et. 20 chains to a gum by a branch No. 85 Et. 30 chains to a pine So. 21 Et. 15 chain to a
pine So. 11 Wt. 20 chain to a stake in the run of the said branch thence along the run to the first station to
have and to hold the said Land and premises with all its Improvements unto the same belonging unto and that the
said Jerimiah Williams at the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents hath a good Right and Lawfuyll authority
to bargain and sell the same in manner above said unto William Collins his heirs and assigns forever the said
Jeremiah Williams for himself and his heirs Executors and administrators doth farther promise and warrant that
the said Lands and premises is free and Clear from the Lawfull Claim calling Dowreys or Demands from me the same
will warrant and secure and Defend unto the said William Collins his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal the date above mentioned.
