James Turner To William Beck
Bill of Sale
Know all men by these presents that I James Turner of the State of No. Carolina and County of Wain
have Sold unto William Beck on negroe woman named Cloe the property of Samuel Herring for the Term of ten
years for the sum of Thirty pounds specie and to return the said negroe woman Cloe and all her increase to
the said James Turner or heirs and at the Expiration of the ten years I do by these presents warrant and
Defend the said negroe woman to the said William Beck for the above mentioned Term of time from all person
or persons claiming any Right Title to the said Cloe for the above mentioned time then this Bill of Sale to
be void and of none Effect in Witness whereof I the said James Turner have hereunto set my hand and seal
this 24th day of September 1790.
