James Morris & James Kenan To James Spiller Deed 13 September 1791

(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 462, & 463 James Morris & James Kenan To James Spiller Bill of Sale for Dick Know all men by these presents that we James Morris of Duplin County and James Kenan and John Hill Administrators of the Estate of William Kenan deceased of said County have bargained and sold and hereby do bargain and sell unto James Spiller for and in Consideration of one hundred pounds a certain negroe Molatto boy called Dick late the property of said Morris and bound by a Judgment of said Kenan and Hill Administrators which negroe we promise and agree to warrant and to the said James Spiller against all person or persons whatsoever. Witness our hands and Seals the thirteenth day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety one. Signed Sealed & Delivered In the presence of George Morrisey James Morris James Kenan State of No. Carolina Duplin County April Term 1792 Then was the within Bill of Sale proved in open Court by the oath of George Morrisey and ordered to be Registered.
