Jas M Larkins To Jere Pearsall
Deed for 2 acres land dated August 12th 1839
This Indenture made and entered unto this Twelth day of August in the year of our Lord
one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine between James M Larkins of the County of Sumter
and State of Alabama of the first part & Jere Pearsall of the County of Duplin State of
North Carolina of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for
and inconsideration of the sum of six dollars to him in hand paid by the said party of
the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained & sold
and by these presents doth convey and confirm untot he said party of the first part his
heirs and Assigns forever a certain tract or parcil of land lying and being in the County
of Duplin and State of North Carolina wich is as follows Begining at a stake on Richard
Millers line and runing with said line along the Averitt Chambers field to Richard Millers
woods fence thence with said fence till a straight line to the begining would make the
amount it being the land I purchaised of Richard Miller and all the lands that I now own
in Duplin County and State of North Carolina containing or is supposed Two acres be the
same more or Less which tract of Land to gether with the hereditaments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging the said party of the first part for himself & his Heirs unto the said
party of the second part and his heirs executors administrators and assigns will warrant &
forever defend against the Lawful claim of all persons whomsoever as an indefiesible inheritance
in fee Simple Given under my hand and seal the day & year first written

Personally came James Wallace before me Price William Clerk of the County Court of said County
who being first duly Sworn deposeth and saith that James M Larkins signed sealed and delivered
the forgoing deed on the day of its date and for the purpos therein contained as well in presence
of Hellim Waldrif as this deponant and that he this deponant and said Waldrif signed the same
in presence of said Larkins and of each other In testimony where of I hereunto subscribed my
name this 19 th August 1839

I Price Williams Clerk of the County Court of said County do hereby certify the within deed was
received in office and recorded the 19 August AD 1839 in Book E Folio 261 In testimony whereof
