Granted to James Evans Four hundred Acres of Land in Duplin County, On both 
sides of Stolking head branch, Begining at a Gum in a small pond on the line of 
a survey of 200.Acres that was patented by Timothy Murphy, it being the Corner 
of one hundred Acres patented by James Maxwell. Then S.100.pole to a pine on 
Moys line. Thence as his line S.45.W.180.poles to a Stake on Powells old line, 
Said Moys Corner. Thence Powells old line E.74.pole to a pine his corner. Thence 
E.54.poles to a pine of McCarleys old line. Thence N.35.E.28.pole to a Large 
White Oak by his old corner, by a branch. Thence S.75.E.164.pole to a to a pine 
and black Jack. Thence N.35.E.with Maxwells line 90.pole to a pine then N.60.W.
20.pole to a pine. Thence on or Near to Millers old line N.30.E.56.pole to a white 
Oak by Henry maxwells corner at Wells,s line. Thence Wells,s old line N.68.W.
