(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 210, 211, & 212 Jacob Taylor To William Taylor Deed 300 Acres This Indenture made this seventh Day of February one thousand seven Hundred and Eighty seven Between Jacob Taylor of Duplin County of and state of North Carolina of the one part and William Taylor of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Jacob Taylor for the consideration of forty pounds current money of the state to him in hand paid by the said William Taylor Before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof I do hereby Exonerate acquit and Discharge the said William Taylor his Heirs Excrs. admrs. or assigns and have given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmes unto him the said William Taylor his heirs or assigns and Doth by these presents freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto him the said William Taylor his heirs and assigns one messuage Tract or parcel of Land situate Lying and being in the aforesaid County of Duplin containing by estimation Three hundred acres be it more be it Less on the East side of the No. East and both sides of the Calf pasture Branch Begining at a pine in Harrisses Line and Runs with his line No. 5 Et. 54 poles crossing Calf Pasture Branch to a pine thence Et. 60 poles to a stake on Dunkins line thence No. 200 poles to a pine thence Wt. 224 poles to a stake in Meadow by a pond thence So. 254 poles to a small jack thence to the begining it being a pattent bearing Date granted to Jacob Taylor bearing Date the first Day of April 1780 Relation there to will more plainly appear. To have and to hold the said tract of Land with all woods & underwoods water or watered courses withh all appertuances priviliges commodities to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said William Taylor his heirs Executors administrators or assigs for ever as a good perferct and absolute Estate of Inheritance in fee simple and I the said Jacob Taylor do and ingage to and with the said William Taylor his heirs & assigns that before the sealing and delivery of these presents that I am the true sole and Lawful owner of the above bargained premises and have in my self good Right and full power and lawfull authority to bargain sell & Dispose of the same in manner as also and said and that that the said William Taylor his heirs and assigns shall & may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the same from all persons Whatsoever free and clear from all manner of other gifts grants bargains sails leases mortgages wills entails dowerys judgements Executions Incumberances or Extents and I Jacob Taylor my heirs Exrs. Administrators Do Warrant and Defend the above Land and premises to him the said William Taylor his heirs and assigns for ever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th Day of February Anno Dom. 1787. Signed sealed and Delivered In the presents of us Jacob Taylor John Bradley Richard Bradley State of No. Carolina Duplin County April Term 1791 Then was the within Deed proved in open Court by the oath of John Bradley and oredred to be Registered.
