Alderman To Enoch Alderman Power Of Attorney Know all men by these presents that I Isaac N Alderman have & hereby do nominate and appoint Enoch Alderman my Lawful Agent and Attorney in fact for me and in my name to recerive law for and recover all monies due me in the State of North Carolina and in so name to commence any suit or suits where in my intrest may Require or my said Attorney deem Expedient and in case a suit or suits should be commenced in my name to Execute any bond or bonds which may be necessary either to prosecute or appeal and to sell my Lands and tenements or other property and make as lawful a title as I could were I present for the said Lands lying in Duplin County NC or other properttys within the said State and to do any or all acts which I could do were I personally present and further more for me and in my name to defend any suit or suits which may be brought against me and in every thing whatever to do any thing which I could do if I were present and in all cases I authorise my said Attorney to give all receipts and discharges which I could do and do generally Rattify and covenant to Rattify all which my said Attorney may lawfully do in or concerning the premises in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of January AD 1828 Isaac N Alderman Witness James Newton Amos Newton State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of please & Quarter Sessions Jany 1840 It appearing tot he court that the subscribing witnesses to this Power of Attorney are not inhabitants of this State and the have writing of James Newton one of the subscribing witnesses to this Power of Attorney having been duly proved in open Court by the oath of David Wells the same is ordered to be Registered Copy N Routledge Regr Test Jas Dickson Clk
