(Transcribed by Joan S DUnn) Deed Book E Page 227, 228, & 229 Isaac Dawson To Solomon Carter Deed 100 acres This Indenture made this thirteenth Day of January Anno Domino one thousand seven Hundred and ninety one Between Isaac Dawson of the State of North Carolina and County of Duplin of the one part and Solomon Carter of the other part and province and County aforesaid Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds current money of North Carolina to me in hand paid by the said Solomon Carter before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt hereof I acknowledge myself to be fully satisfied contented and paid every part and parcel thereof have given granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and confirmed unto the aforesaid Solomon Carter his heirs Executors administrators or assigns forever one certain peice of Land it being the north end of a Tract of two hundred acres taken up by Isaac Dawson lying upon Juniper branch a prong of Mathews Branch Begining at a Large pine thence Et. 127 poles thence So. 127 poles thence Wt. 127 poles thence to the begining concluding of one hundred acres the paten bearing Date 1732 October the seventh in the year of our Lord aforesaid the said Land lying and being in Duplin County aforesaid to have and to hold together unto the said Solomon Carter his Heirs Executors administrators or assigns forever and as for my part the aforesaid Isaac Dawson my heirs Executor administrators and assignsa Doth hereby covenant and grant to and with the said Solomon Carther his heirs Executors administrators or assigns that the aforesaid Land and premises is free and clear of all Incumbrance whatsoever and the said Solomon Carter his Heirs Executors admrs. or assings may and shall forever hereafter hold possess occupy enjoy the said Land and premises with all Benefits and appurtainances to the same belonging only excepting the the yearly Rents which is to become Due hence forward further more for my part the said Isaac Dawson my heirs Executors administrators and assigns by these presents Doth forever hereafter Warrant and Defend against the Lawfull claim of any person or persons whosoever the aforesaid Land and premises with all Benefits and appurtainances to the same belonging unto Solomon Carter his Executors administrators or assigns In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and year first above written. signed sealed and Delivered In presence of us Isaac Dawson Laddick Gray Hezekiah Blizzard State of No. Carolina Duplin County April Term 1791 Then was the within Deed proved in open Court by the oath of Hezekiah Blizzard and ordered to be Registered.
